This is a pretty broad and general category, but a vital one nonetheless. Impulse buy items are the things that sit by the register. Just think of those cheap trinkets you see in line at the dollar store or at Walmart. These items catch a consumer’s eye and offer a low-priced treat with little risk to the consumer's pockets. The great thing about this is, while the price of impulse items are generally low, more people buy them! Novelty items are great because you can charge a bit more for such a "unique" or "exclusive" item. Novelty merch can match the theme of your store, be different than your regular gear or even capitalize on a specific trend to get new customers into your shop.

2. Donald Trump Merchandise
Trump merch is blowing up and so is the Trumpster. The republican front runner (soon to be nominee?) is sweeping the nation by storm and so is the love (or disdain) for him. Capitalize on these trends by purchasing a politically relevant item. Be sure to purchase both sides as to not offend anyone, if that is a concern. Basically anything with Obama’s name flew off the shelves almost 8 years ago and the same is the case with politics’ newest star.

1. Brutus the Bulldog Self Defense Keychains
This Panther Trading exclusive and original (don’t be fooled by imitators!) has captivated the internet being featured on such collector’s sites as Dude I Want That and This Is Why I’m Broke. Brutus has even been featured on national television. These beloved self-defense tools appear as harmless toys but are made from sharp and unbreakable ABS. They are great for self-defense classes and pack a punch to a potential offender. Customers grab these just to see them and hold them. Imagine how easy these things are to sell!
